Why wait? Register now!
For the 37th running of the Anthem Richmond Marathon on November 15, 2014 we are offering a special $90 marathon entry fee and $80 half marathon entry fee through June 30. And, as always, we DO NOT charge extra fees to sign up online!
Haven’t run Richmond yet? What are you waiting for?! The Anthem Richmond Marathon has a scenic course that winds through the city’s most historic and beautiful neighborhoods and runs over and along the James River. We love to show off the river so much that we even moved our finish line and post-race party to the riverfront. We’ve earned our rep as “America’s Friendliest Marathon” (thanks Runner’s World!) because of features like our junk food stops and wet washcloth stations – even an online registration system that doesn’t hit you with extra fees to sign up! But the perks don’t end there. As you run, you’ll encounter live bands, DJs, spirit groups and Party Zones that will help push you through to the finish. Then, after the race, you can kick back and relax on Brown’s Island and celebrate with hot pizza and cold BEER. Run Richmond once and you, too, will know why we’re “America’s Friendliest Marathon!”
Group rebates offered in 2014!
The more, the merrier! Recruit your friends and register as a group to knock some dollars off your entry fee. Groups of 6-14 will receive a rebate of $5 per member. Groups of 15 or more will receive a rebate of $10 per team member. Details are posted here.
Allianz offers Registration Protector
Registration Protector gives participants the opportunity to fully insure their registration fee, covering many reasons for cancellation and offering up to 100% cash back. Just add it to your entry upon checkout!
Anthem Richmond Marathon named one of 15 best fall marathons!
The Anthem Richmond Marathon was recently named one of the best fall marathons in the U.S.:
"First-time marathoners who feel a bit intimidated by other picks on this list should check out the Anthem Richmond Marathon. It’s not called “America’s Friendliest Marathon” for nothing! There are junk food stations at miles 16 and 22 (Gummi Bears, cookies and soda, anyone?), a few wet washcloth stops, energy-boosting “party zones,” and a post-race pizza and beer party on Brown’s Island. The 36th annual race will loop through historic neighborhoods, along the James River and downhill to the finish line in the heart of the city."
