Richmond Challenge
Complete all 3 races, Earn a Medal!
Choose which distance you want to complete on November 11—the Allianz Partners Richmond Marathon, CarMax Richmond Half Marathon, or VCU Health Richmond 8k, and then complete the other two distances virtually! You’ll have the month of November to complete your virtual events. Multiple distances equals more medals, more swag, and more bragging rights! You’ll also earn a special medal that will make you the envy of all your runner friends! Sign up today!
To be a part of the Richmond Challenge:
1. Register now for all three race distances.*
2. Complete all three race distances, one in-person on November 11 and the other two distances virtually during the month of November.
3. Your in-person results will be posted on the website: https://www.richmondmarathon.org/results/. For your virtual races, remember to enter your results manually and you will be added to the event leaderboard for each distance.
4. Earn each distance’s race swag and a special Richmond Challenge medal!
*You can register for all three distances at one time by selecting the bundle option.
*If you’ve already registered for a single distance, you may simply register for the remaining distances.
*If you deferred your entry in 2022 but have not claimed your deferral and registered for the 2023 race you should use the registration link that you have been e-mailed to both claim your deferral as well as select the other 2 distances. You will only be charged for the additional 2 distances you are registering for.

Note: A $50 donation to Sports Backers Youth Programs (our official event charity) when registering for the Allianz Partners Richmond Marathon or CarMax Richmond Half Marathon will automatically reduce your race entry fee by $20. A $20 donation when registering for the VCU Health Richmond 8k will automatically reduced your entry fee by $10.
