The oldest runner, at 87 years old, ran all 26.2 miles with his family by his side. In his third marathon, Doctor Rao Yalamanchili finished in just under seven-and-a-half hours.

The 2024 Richmond Marathon, half marathon and 8K have set an all-time registration record. All three races have had 20,939 people sign up as of 4 p.m. Wednesday.
